Smart Floor Upgrade – Terms & Conditions (Updated July 2025)

1. Minimum Order Requirements
A minimum order of 20 square metres (20sqm) is required to qualify for the promotional free delivery offer.
Orders below this threshold require prior approval and may incur additional freight or handling fees.
2. Free Delivery Locations
Free delivery applies exclusively to the following major towns and cities across New Zealand: Ashburton, Auckland, Blenheim, Christchurch, Cromwell, Dunedin, Gisborne, Gore, Greymouth, Hamilton, Invercargill, Kaitaia, Levin, Masterton, Napier, Nelson, New Plymouth, Oamaru, Palmerston North, Queenstown, Rotorua, Taupo, Tauranga, Thames, Timaru, Wanaka, Wellington, Whakatane, Whanganui, Whangarei and many more!
Free delivery applies strictly within standard metropolitan and township limits only.
Customers unsure whether their address falls within free delivery zones must confirm eligibility with our sales team prior to placing orders.
3. Rural & Remote Area Deliveries
Deliveries to rural, remote, or island-based locations are not automatically eligible for free delivery.
Rural deliveries may incur additional freight charges depending on the exact delivery location and availability of our freight partners.
Customers are responsible for confirming rural/remote zone eligibility and additional charges with our sales team before confirming the order.
4. Depot Collection
Customers opting for depot collection must coordinate pickup arrangements in advance.
Availability of depot locations must be confirmed with our sales team upon order confirmation.
Depot storage beyond agreed collection dates may incur storage fees.
5. Delivery Timeframes
Delivery dates provided upon order confirmation are estimated only and subject to change.
Actual delivery timeframes may be impacted by various factors including:
Freight company schedules
Product availability and supply chain delays
Seasonal demand fluctuations
Weather conditions and natural events
Public holidays or unexpected logistical events
Customers are responsible for allowing sufficient lead-time for their project timelines.
6. Delivery Conditions
Standard deliveries are strictly kerbside only unless alternative arrangements have been explicitly agreed upon and confirmed in writing prior to dispatch.
Delivery personnel are not obliged to carry goods inside properties, up stairs, or into specific rooms without prior agreement.
Delivery addresses must be safely accessible by standard delivery vehicles (trucks).
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure someone is present at the time of delivery to inspect and sign for the goods.
If no recipient is present, re-delivery charges may apply.
All delivered goods must be checked immediately upon arrival for visible damage or discrepancies. Claims or notifications of damage must be submitted in writing within 24 hours of receiving the goods.
7. Additional Delivery Charges
Additional delivery charges may apply under circumstances including, but not limited to:
Deliveries outside standard free delivery zones (as defined in section 2)
Rural or remote locations
Sites with restricted or difficult access
Failed delivery attempts requiring redelivery
Special delivery requirements (e.g., HIAB trucks, cranes, tail-lift vehicles)
Additional labour requested beyond standard kerbside delivery
8. Stock Availability & Order Fulfilment
Orders will be processed only after receiving full payment or the agreed-upon deposit, and confirming stock availability.
In cases where ordered stock becomes temporarily unavailable or delayed due to supply issues, customers will be notified promptly with estimated timelines and alternative product options.
9. Order Cancellations, Amendments, & Refunds
Requests for order changes, postponements, or cancellations must be made at least 3 business days prior to the scheduled dispatch date.
Cancellations or amendments after dispatch may incur restocking charges, return freight fees, and other costs associated with returning goods.
Refunds for returned or cancelled orders after dispatch will be processed minus all incurred charges, subject to our discretion and returned goods being undamaged, unopened, and in resalable condition.
10. Liability & Risk
While we work hard to ensure timely delivery, Floor Decor is not liable for delays caused by third-party freight carriers or events beyond our control. We’ll always aim to keep you informed if something unexpected arises.
Risk of loss or damage transfers to the customer immediately upon delivery of goods and signing for receipt.
11. Promotion Scope, Eligibility & Restrictions
This promotion offers 40% off all Deko-branded SPC flooring ranges: Style X, Natural, and Extreme Flex.
It applies exclusively to Deko-branded flooring products.
Orders including non-Deko products or products from other brands are not automatically eligible and may incur standard delivery charges unless otherwise agreed.
This promotional offer cannot be combined with other offers unless explicitly stated otherwise.
12. Interest-Free Finance Terms (Q Card & Q Mastercard)
Long-term finance is offered exclusively through Q Card and Q Mastercard, subject to standard lending criteria and approval.
Available plans and conditions:
6 Months: No upfront payments, interest-free, minimum spend $199
12 Months: Interest-free repayments, minimum spend $199
18 Months: Interest-free with 4% surcharge, minimum spend $500
24 Months: Interest-free with 6% surcharge, minimum spend $500
36 Months: Interest-free with 7% surcharge, minimum spend $750
Fees applicable to finance plans include:
$50 annual account fee (standard Q Card fee)
$55 establishment fee for the first transaction
$35 advance fee for subsequent transactions
Minimum monthly repayments are required throughout all interest-free periods (3% of balance or $10, whichever is greater).
Paying only minimum payments may leave an outstanding balance at the end of the interest-free period. Any outstanding balance will attract a standard interest rate of 28.95% p.a.
Finance offers may be amended or withdrawn without notice by Q Card/Q Mastercard or our business.
13. Acceptance of Terms
By placing an order and participating in this Smart Floor Upgrade promotion, the customer explicitly agrees to and accepts all stated terms and conditions.

We can still deliver across most of New Zealand. Orders outside standard zones may incur a freight charge, or you can choose free depot collection (depending on your location).
Is this promotion just for homeowners?
Nope – it’s open to everyone. Whether you’re renovating, building, investing, or fitting out a commercial space, you can use this offer if your order includes 20m²+ of Deko flooring.
Can I use this deal if I’m just buying trims or underlay?
No – the promotion only applies to orders that include Deko Hybrid SPC flooring. Add-ons like trims or underlay are welcome, but they don’t qualify on their own.
Do I need floor prep before installation?
Deko Extreme Flex is designed to go over most existing floors – which can accommodate up to 8mm subfloor variations, reducing or eliminating costly floor prep in up to 90% of cases.
Can I use Deko flooring in bathrooms and laundries?
Yes – all Deko Hybrid SPC ranges are 100% waterproof, making them ideal for wet zones like kitchens, bathrooms, and laundries.
What finance options can I use?
You can pay upfront or choose one of the interest-free Q Card options, including:
6 months: no payments, no interest
12 months: interest-free
18–36 months: interest-free (small surcharge applies)
How long does delivery take?
Once your order is processed, we’ll give you a delivery estimate. Delivery times vary depending on stock, freight routes, and location – but we’ll keep you updated every step of the way.
What if no one’s home for delivery?
Someone needs to be present to inspect and sign for your flooring. If no one’s there, re-delivery fees may apply. We’ll always give you a heads-up beforehand.
Can I get samples before I commit?
Yes – and we recommend it. Order free samples online so you can touch, see, and compare colours in your own space before making a final call.
Is Deko SPC easy to clean?
Very. It’s low-maintenance – just sweep regularly and mop with a neutral cleaner when needed. No sealing, sanding, or special gear required.
Can it be installed over my existing floor?
In most cases, yes – especially with Extreme Flex, which is designed to install over tiles, vinyl, or concrete. For trickier floors, our team can advise.
Do you install flooring too?
We don’t install directly, but we’ll happily connect you with reliable local installers near you.
What warranty do I get with Deko flooring?
All Deko Hybrid SPC ranges come with strong warranties – including protection from cupping, curling, and peaking. Deko Natural even includes a 50-year residential warranty.
Can I return excess boxes if I over-order?
Yes, if they’re unopened, undamaged, and resalable – but restocking and freight fees may apply. Custom-ordered or discounted items may not be returnable.
Can I schedule delivery for a specific day or time?
You can request a delivery window, but exact timing isn’t guaranteed due to freight logistics. We’ll work with you to get as close as possible.
How is Deko flooring different from laminate or vinyl?
Deko Hyrbid SPC offers the waterproof durability of vinyl with the strength and realism of laminate without the common problems of either.
Is DIY installation possible?
Yes! Many customers install Deko Hyrbid SPC flooring themselves. The click-lock system makes it ideal for DIYers with basic tools and some prep. We can provide install guides too.
Can I delay my delivery if my site isn’t ready yet?
Yes. Just let us know in advance, and we can hold stock for a limited time or delay dispatch to suit your project timeline.
How do I choose the right flooring range?

Do I need underlay with Deko Hybrid SPC?
No underlay is required Deko Hyrbid SPC includes a built-in IXPE underlay layer. It’s quieter, more stable, and easier to install.
